Summer is fading and October beckons. We’re surrounded by falling leaves and lots of blustery Days as my favourite character Winnie the Pooh would say. I love Autumn, we have many days out walking our two dogs Bertie and Elsie. They love rolling in all the leaves and feeling the breeze through their thick, fluffy coats.
Many holiday destinations begin to shut down in October but it’s a different story here in the Yorkshire Dales, it’s the perfect time to visit. We’d love to welcome you to take a look for yourselves so please head over to our offers page; we have some great discounted rates available although they do book up quickly!
After an extremely busy summer thanks to lots of new and returning guests, we have been putting our thinking caps on as to how we can make things here at the B&B even better for next years guests. We’re going to be making a few updates to make sure your stay is even more comfortable and memorable. Room 2 has had a new carpet already and Room 3 will soon be receiving the same treatment. year.
The most exciting update to soon be in place is to benefit your sleep. Room 3 will be getting a new mattress and we are adding new toppers to Rooms 1 and 2. Now you may be wondering why this is exciting when you can pop down to almost any supermarket these days and buy new bedding. Without meaning to sound like an M&S advert, these aren’t just any toppers and mattress, they are handmade, organic toppers and mattresses coming all the way from West Wales. Created by highly skilled craftsmen at Abaca, they’re a real investment and we know you’ll feel the difference when you go to get your head down after a hectic day of exploring. After all, it’s all in the name-Bed and Breakfast. We’re pretty sure we’ve got breakfast down to a T and now we want to match that standard with our beds. We have lots of lovely compliments on our cosy beds as they are now but we can’t wait for you to fall in love with them even more!
In other news outside of the B&B things are just as busy. The half-term holidays will soon be here and the village becomes a hive of activity as families come to visit and lots of local attractions host special events for the occasion. Keep an eye on our Facebook page as we like to share lots of event information to help you plan your stay and keep up to date with local news too.
