We are looking forward to getting ready to welcome some guests again in September. As you may have read in our July news post we are planning some exciting changes here and will be closing again end of September to get on with the planned work.
We had a number of bookings in September and lots of enquiries from guests wanting to make a return visit, so we decided to open up for the month and we are really looking forward to seeing everyone again and getting back to a normal life. We are about fully booked now taking care not to have too many people here at one time so guests can have a safe relaxing stay with us.
We’re really hoping for some lovely late summer sunshine after some unsettled weather during June and July. It’s been really sad to see lots of our favourite events cancelled too due to the pandemic. We usually have a full calendar – and B&B – during the summer months but we know the priority is keeping everyone safe. We’re sure events like the Bainbridge Hill Climb and the country shows will be back and even better next year with lots of locals and tourists around to support them!
Lots of planning going on here at the moment as we begin organising things ready for the builders, plumbers and electricians who will be descending on the B&B in October. It will be a busy few months but we look forward to the positive changes being made to make sure we have something for everyone once we re-open. Keep watching our social media pages for updates on our progress as we will be posting plenty of updates as we go along – we’re quite excited to get our teeth into a new project!
We’re hoping to be back up and running again in December, and looking forward to a busy time as we head into 2021. There is certainly a lot of interest for staycation in the UK next year!
Finally, it has been great to see our local pubs and shops opening up again and also being able to get out and about to meet up with friends and family. We hope you are all staying safe but also managing to enjoy the few glimpses of normal life which have now returned.
