Why not visit the Wensleydale Creamery in the market town of Hawes where the famous Wensleydale Cheese is made. Wensleydale Cheese is a historic fresh, mild cheese that has been made in Wensleydale, North Yorkshire since 1150 by Cistercian monks. These monks continued to make the cheese until the dissolution of their monasteries in 1540. Traditionally, sheep’s milk was used, but over the time cow’s milk was also used. The Yorkshire Dales National Park is in northern England. It encompasses thousands of square miles of moors, valleys, hills and villages. Southeast, on the River Wharfe, the Bolton Abbey Estate includes the ruins of a 12th-century monastery. Malham Village features a towering cliff, and a footpath leading to Gordale Scar, a limestone ravine with waterfalls. A 5-bridge crosses the river at Burnsall Village. The Yorkshire Dales National Park has a weath of stone buildings , dry stone walls and stunning landscapes with pretty villages of character.arched
